Terbium Metal Introduction

Terbium is a silvery-gray, malleable, soft, ductile, rare earth element that can be cut by a knife. Terbium is relatively stable in the air. It is never found in nature as a free element. However, it is readily found in minerals such as cerite, gadolinite, and euxenite. Terbium compounds are highly fluorescent and are frequently used to produce green phosphors.

Applications of Terbium Metal

The rare earth metal terbium is mainly used in rare earth permanent magnets, magnetostrictive materials, and magneto-optical storage materials. It can also be used to produce phosphor, enamel and glaze, infrared generation equipment and laser equipment, and the atomic energy industry.

Packaging of Terbium Metal

1. Packed in iron drums, lined with a single layer of plastic bags and protected by argon, each barrel weighs 50kg and 250kg.

2. According to the customers’ requirements, we can provide custom products and packaging.
