Yttrium Iodide
Yttrium iodide, a white powder or polycrystalline block in appearance and with hygroscopicity. It is soluble in water, ethanol and acetone, and slightly soluble in ether. It should be kept in an airtight condition.
Yttrium Iodide Applications
Yttrium iodide can be used to prepare scintillation crystals. Cerium doped yttrium iodide crystal (YI3: Ce3 +) is a new scintillator with excellent properties.
